REMS Workspace supports saving designs in files for future retrieval and modification.
The design file retains all aspects of
the design including all objects, objects’ parameters,
and current view in the design at time
of save.
REMS operates on an antenna database using
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 in a client server
architecture manner. The database can reside
on a network node away from the workstation
and can be share by many REMS users simultaneously.
The database consists of antenna records
of most popularly used antenna. The antenna
properties stored in the database are:
Manufacturer, Model number, Antenna type
(monopole, collinear, panel, parabolic,
etc.), Operating Frequency Range in MHz,
Antenna gain in dBi, Antenna dimensions,
Antenna weight, Maximum allowable input
power in Watts, Antenna horizontally radiating
enveloped pattern from 0 to 359 degrees
in one-degree interval and antenna vertically
radiating enveloped pattern from 0 to 359
degrees and one-degree interval.
