REMS software
is used for analyzing infrastructure radio
communications applications concerning
the levels of frequency (RF) energy distribution
in the surrounding area of the proposed
site in three dimensions (3D) with color
REMS program is able
to compute the power flux density contributed
by various types of radio communication
stations operating in the frequency band
from 30 MHz to 40 GHz (a subset of 3kHz – 300
GHz) such as land fixed stations, cellular
and PCS (Personal Communication System)
base stations, microwave radio relay stations,
earth stations, FM and TV broadcast stations,
etc.
REMS software is able
to graphically display the radiation field
to be rotated or dissected in any planes
for further detail analyses. REMS has
the ability to calculate results and be
saved anytime in a text file for reviewing
at a later date. It is also able to generate
reports consisting of all technical parameters
of their environment and calculate outputs. REMS software
can provide options for users to save all
radiation fields, technical parameters
and structure designs in individual files
so they can be later retrieved for further
modifications or analyses.
In addition, REMS software
can display scaling of the radiating field
for showing to the general public or non-technical
persons. This power flux density field
can be normalized against the general public
(un-controlled) limits as defined in the
guideline.
